Mists of Mortal Legends is an art commission created in 2013 for the "Art on the Marquee" series, hosted by Boston Cyberarts and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority. Using an 80-foot-tall multi-screen LED marquee outside the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in South Boston as a canvas, my team and I created a trip through the different styles of video gaming, which coincided with Pax East, a video game convention taking place at the same time.
I was the lead editor and animator on the project, building the animation in After Effects and Final Cut Pro using an assortment of Photoshop assets, 3D animation, and effects to create the final piece. We utilized the seven screens to create a 2 player atmosphere, a nod to early gaming where players needed to share the same screen.
